The Wilson County Soil and Water Conservation District Board received a 2nd Place plaque at the Region III Awards Banquet in Refugio on May 6. Tamara Jung, a Floresville Middle School seventh grader, won 2nd place in the Region II Conservation Essay Contest.

Truck Seizure Nets 287 Pounds of Marijuana

4-H Boosters Hold Year End Meeting In Wilson County

County officials lament stalled investment and job prospects while the system moves ahead with 5,400 new beds and 1,400 more via renovations and 2,700 contracted beds. The panel also approved five privately run state jails to save about 21 million dollars.
