A San Pete deal closed in this city transfers ownership of the two story brick building erected in 1911 by Jack Moore. The New York Store and Southwestern Exchange occupied the site since its first erection as a premier business house in town.
Long felt need in Floresville becomes reality as a Red Cross rest room is assured. Businessmen meet at court house to plan cooperation with local ladies. R. L. Esch presided and emphasized community support for the project. It marks a welcomed civic improvement long sought by residents. Also noted is Hon. J. E. Canfield named as a Democratic National Convention delegate from the Fourteenth District with Frank C. Davis of San Antonio. Canfield’s Wilson County circle takes pride in the honor and anticipates possible attendance in San Francisco next month.
The Marcelona Baptist Church schedules preaching on Saturday June 12 at 11 00 a m with night service and Sunday services. All members urged to attend all services especially Saturday morning. J H Black is the pastor.
