Hot Wells Water & Sewer Ass'n Meeting Draws 70 Here
Tom Johnson, president of the Hot Wells Water and Sewer Association, presided over the Floresville gathering attended by about 70 city officials and water supply men. Guests hailed from Falls City, Goliad, Karnes City, Kennedy, Poth, Nixon, Stockdale, Seguin, Mathis, San Antonio, Beeville, Runge and Corpus Christi. A school of instruction was urged for water and sewer plant employees at Trinity University next month. A film on transit water lines was shown by John Mansville reps. Officers present were Tom Johnson and Joe A. Zawarka. The group praised Floresville hospitality and the barbecue server.

The Wilson County Youth Baseball League is organized with four towns Floresville Poth Stockdale and La Vernia forming two leagues Pony and Little League to begin play Monday June 3 with Stockdale in Floresville and La Vernia at Poth. Each town will field two teams and games occur Mondays and Thursdays with 7 inning Little League and 6 inning time limited play and an 8:30 Pony League start.

District Judge John F. Onion Jr of Bexar County presided over the opening of the district court session. Wilson County Junior Livestock Show planned for early 1958
At a May 26 directors meeting of the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show, Floresville and Poth representatives decided to hold the event in early 1958. The show will be limited to 4 H and PRA boys from Floresville and Poth districts, with rules to be set by a new committee. It will occur about three weeks before the San Antonio show, emphasizing prize money over an auction. Officers elected for next year are A. W. Eckel Jr of Poth president and Allan Drozd of Floresville secretary. La Vernia will not participate due to changes in Ag teachers and uncertain plans for the coming year.
