Twenty Five Graduates Receive Their Diplomas
The Flores School celebrates the 1928 29 term graduation with Dr. W. E. Allen from Baylor delivering the commencement address. Superintendent S. P. Hochheim Fire Association Meets At Poth Monday
The Hochheim Prairie Mutual Fire and Storm Association’s 38th annual meeting will be held at Poth on Monday and Tuesday, May 27–28. John Pfeil led a sheep raising venture in Floresville, selling 3,000 pounds of wool for about 500 dollars, proving diversification benefits to local farms.

Five Prisoners Taken To Huntsville By Penitentiary Agent
Five prisoners sentenced at the recent district court term were moved to the state penitentiary at Huntsville by a penitentiary agent. Among them were C. E. Carroll Joe Martin Volmer Gus Tinney and William Keever. Tinney and Carroll faced robbery by firearms charges in the J P Holcombe incident and received twelve and eight year terms. Keever and Tinney had earlier been jailed in Bexar County. an assault robbery and firearms case against them was postponed. A public reception for visiting delegates is planned in Poth with various Wilson County branches assisting. The insurance association in Hochheim Prairie organized in 1890 now reports about 10 million dollars in in force insurance. officers include J J Kuck president Ellert Gerdes vice president E Hagens secretary and Filert Kuck treasurer.

Gas Companies Work as Floresville Farmers Eye Green Corn
Floresville merchants report strong interest from green corn buyers visiting fields this week. The chamber says two concerns have inspected crops and negotiations are underway. If a deal forms, shipments would start about ten days after an agreement, with a definite update expected by Saturday or Monday. Farmers with unvisited plots urged to contact Secretary Wells promptly.

Scoutmaster Stanley Coughran of Floresville Troop No. 114 visited New Braunfels to inspect the Alamo Council camp site and arrange a possible summer camp for the Floresville troop from August 10 to 24.
