Local Boy Scout Troop 114 Aids Flood Victims In Texas
On Saturday May 13 the Hawk Patrol of Troop 114 Floresville Texas collected food clothing bedding and miscellaneous items for flood victims in New Braunfels and Seguin in a joint drive with Floresville Jaycees sponsors. Scouts Kevin Henke patrol leader Steve Richardson Richard Scheffler David Ross Darren Sickenius and Salvador Rodriguez organized the effort and donors were thanked for the door to door drive. Five year term for Floresville murder plea
Esmerigildo Rodriguez pleaded guilty to murder with malice in the June 13 slaying at Hilton’s Drive In Grocery in Floresville where Vicente Ortiz Barrera was shot. The case moved to Bexar County and was reduced from murder with malice to a guilty plea before 144th District Judge Archie S. Brown. Rodriguez sought probation after his plea.
