Floresville School Band Ends Year With Notable Concert
Floresville School Band under Fritz Teltschik offered a free evening concert to about 500 attendees in May raising roughly 235 dollars for uniforms and equipment. Svoboda undergoes operation at Camp Hood hospital
Charles J. Svoboda son of Mr and Mrs Emil Svoboda of the Webbville area underwent an operation at Camp Hood hospital Tuesday this week. He served over two years in the ETO with the 42nd Rainbow Infantry division and was wounded in Germany by a mine explosion sustaining shoulder and rib injuries. He returned to the States in January and spent three weeks with his parents before re enlisting for 18 months. His wife is with him at Camp Hood.
