Morris Roberts of Pettus spent a short time in Floresville last Monday in company with Editor S Chesnutt of Kenedy. The senator hopeful for the state senate from the th Senatorial District including Wilson county faced opposition, but early indications suggest a favorable reception and respect during the visit.
Inspection Tour District 10 visits Governor’s Mansion
A group led by Miss Myrtle Murray of district home demonstration toured thirteen counties in District 10, greeted at the Governor’s Mansion by Mrs James V Allred, then proceeded to Hogg Memorial Auditorium for a business session. J W Calhoun acting for President Benedict welcomed the visitors and lunch was served at University Commons. They were then hosted by Miss Edna Gearing, chair of home economics, and her staff in the Home Economics building where a four page pamphlet prepared by the University was distributed.

J. F. Henson known as Judge Henson, died at Blake hospital on May 13 1986 after a brief illness. He was active on Tuesday, fell ill, transported to the hospital, and passed away at 1 30 Wednesday morning. Funeral services were held at the family residence conducted by Rev. Heacock and another minister with a special choir. Interment at Floresville Cemetery amid flowers.

Koepp Sentenced Ten Years for Lavernia Murder Verdict
The State of Texas v F E Koepp ended with a guilty verdict and a ten year penitentiary sentence for the murder of attorney J O Wise in Lavernia on August 16 1935. Judge S B Carr presided in the 81st district court after a four day trial. A prior trial ended in a hung jury and a motion for a new trial was filed then withdrawn.
