Father Yanta to Speak at Poth High Graduation
Father John Yanta will deliver the commencement address to Poth High School’s senior class on May 26 1978 at Jack Lane Field. Born October 2 1931 he was ordained March 17 1956 and has led Catholic youth groups and parishes in San Antonio including CYO SANYO and Sacred Heart Parish.

First City National Bank to Expand in Floresville
The Board of Directors of First City National Bank of Floresville voted to double the bank building size and add four drive in lanes. The lobby will operate 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fridays during construction, with loan dept hours unchanged. Fire Ant Program Tuesday At Cattlemen's Association
Dr. Roy Parker from Corpus Christi will speak at the Independent Cattlemen's Association meeting on May 16. A pre meeting discussion covers fire ant control as Mirex is banned by the EPA and new methods are being developed. People who have not encountered fire ants may soon learn how to manage them.
