Wilson County Spring Festival and Dance Day Detailed
The Wilson County 4-H Clubs sponsor the Fourth Annual Spring Festival in Floresville at the Showbarn on May 20 1979. Meals include bar b q chicken plates 2.50 large and 1.75 small with takeouts available. Activities include dunking booth penny pitch games a store and an auction at 2 30 p m. A country dance by the Countrymen runs 7 00 p m to 11 00 p m with 2 50 admission. Proceeds benefit Wilson County 4-H Clubs.

Floresville Pedestrian Killed on Interstate 37
Eliseo Gama, 44, of 802 S Eighth St, Floresville, was struck on Interstate 37 near Carolina Street while hitchhiking and died six hours later at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He lived near the driver who struck him. witnesses included Capt. Pat Nichols. The incident marked the town’s fifth traffic fatality this year.

Floresville Class of 1969 Reunion Planning Meet
A second planning meeting for the Floresville Class of 1969 reunion will be held Friday May 11 at 7 30 p m at 1314 D Street Floresville the residence of Glenn Talley and Jane Spmke Talley. Anyone interested in helping organize is invited to attend. A lot was accomplished at the first meeting and it looks like the reunion will be a real success.

Betty Castro daughter of Mr and Mrs Salvador Castro Sr will be among over forty contestants at the Miss Heart of the Border Pageant in Carrizo Springs. She arrives for registration Friday May 11 at Carrizo Springs High School at 1 p.m. and begins rehearsals for the talent segment. The winner and runner ups earn sponsorship by the Carrizo Springs Chamber of Commerce in regional events.
