Floresville High Band to Close Year with Spring Concert
The Sweepstake winning Floresville High School Band hosts a year end concert Friday May 11 at Floresville. A Bar B Q Chicken Supper runs 6 30 pm with take out until 6 30 pm and dine in 6 30 7 30 pm. The program begins at 8 pm with 6th Grade Beginner Band First Place Jr High Band and the Sweepstakes Winning Floresville High Band.

The 1973 Poth High School valedictorian is Mary Dugi daughter of Mr and Mrs Victor Dugi of Poth. Floresville Man Shot in Floresville Incident
Henry Castro, 40, of Floresville, was hospitalized in serious condition after a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen suffered last Saturday May 5. He was flown to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio by MAST helicopter. Sheriff's deputies have not filed charges as of the latest report.
