County Convention Praises Roosevelt Endorses Garner

Floresville High School homemaking students will display their dresses in Ellinghausen Teltschik Dry Goods and related shops on May 18 and 14. The six of forty three pupils with prior sewing experience show notable progress in selecting fabrics colors and patterns. Dresses were judged by the students themselves after completion with some observers noting Connally Garner and others in attendance.

Floresville Band Excels at Seguin Music Festival
Floresville High School Band directed by Fritz Teltschik delivered an excellent showing at the seventh annual Texas Lutheran College Music Festival in Seguin. Three members won honors: Yedean Hill third in snare drum solos, Minifred Teltschik third in cornet solos, and Harry Woolsey second in baritone horn solos. The trio, with only three entries, helped Floresville place 18th among 89 Texas high school bands, scoring 13 points in a field of about 4,100 entries. Yoakum High won the grand cup, Seguin was second, with Charlotte, Thomas Edison and San Antonio among top finishers.

Luther Luttrell Funeral Held Tuesday
Luther Luttrell, 59, found dead in his room at 800 East Houston Street, died of natural causes after an inquest ruled by Justice of the Peace Outs West. Luttrell was discovered by B L Shade of 201 Bowie Street. Benno Fried ich testified that Monday events were held.
