New Minister Henry Edgington Brings Hope To Floresville
Henry Edgington from Corpus Christi has become Floresville Church of Christ minister. He studied at Bible College in Arkansas Northside School of Preaching in Harrison and Brown Trail School of Preaching in Texas. A 16 year church member, he spent three years preparing to preach and has worked with youth in counseling rallies and training young men. Previously he preached at Osceola Church of Christ near Hillsboro. He invites all to hear him at A Street and 3rd, as the congregation welcomes him and worships God.

First Business House Established In Floresville 100 Years Ago
Floresville’s 1909 chronicle recalls early town life from post Civil War days through 1906 oil exploration. W C Agee opened Floresville’s first store in 1875, the court house burned in 1884, trees and cemetery beautification followed, and oil wells drilled to 660 then 656 feet near town with potential vast wealth.
