Tyler 17 Arrests After Noted Hanging Case
Tyler Texas May 5 seven teen arrests reported tied to a hanging last Saturday of a negro named Hodge who faced a charge of attempting a criminal assault on Miss Winnie Harmon three miles south of Tyler. District Judge Simpson said he would arrive tomorrow morning for examining trials. District Attorney Beavers and County Attorney Butler prepared the State's case with Captain Rodgers and three State Rangers present. Defendants have legal counsel and authorities promise more arrests.
