The Floresville City Police Dept. reported three break ins over the weekend. The Crossroads Cafe was entered through a window with damage but nothing missing. The SL Feed Store and Keylich's garage suffered damage and vandalism. Officer Richard De Leon investigated. no arrests yet.
The Poth Band will present a spring concert on Thursday May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Poth. The public is invited to attend.
Lea Popham reports on the Floresville Middle School project in September 1987. The new building will house fifth and sixth graders, a cafeteria, and the principal's office, with expansion possible as Floresville outgrows current space. Superintendent Joe Robinson notes strong growth and a thriving tax base, expressing optimism for a future high school.
