Floresville Consolidated Independent School District awards contract to Frank E. Morris of San Antonio for 122,733 to add six classrooms to the High School on Highway 181 and a new Agricultural Building section plus five classrooms, an office, book room and restrooms at the Primary School. National Peanut Quota Raised 7.5 Percent for Farmers
A telegram from Congressman John Bell states the Department of Agriculture has raised the National Marketing Quota for peanuts by 7.5 percent. E L Spaniel is the newly appointed Wilson County agent taking office May 16. He succeeds D Ray Alford who resigned to become a farm ranch manager in Sweeny Texas. Spaniel, former assistant county agent of Harrison County Texas, comes from Marshall Texas after military service, education at Texas A and M College, and will begin work with the county’s diversified farming program.
