Poth High School will hold its Athletic Banquet Monday May 8 at 7 30 p m at the VFW Hall in Poth. Guest speaker is Tommy Janik 1959 graduate and former NFL AFL player from Bryan Texas Master of Ceremonies is Al Kollodzief mayor of Poth. Rachel Ray Named Texas Flying Farmer Farmerette
At the Texas Flying Farmers annual meeting Rachel Ray of Floresville was named Texas Farme rette while Mrs. Jim Adams of Odem became Texas Queen of Flying Farmers. The event drew Flying Farmers from nine states and Canada with Dee Sims 1977 queen directing the banquet. Rachel, 16, will promote private air travel and aviation safety and will attend the International Flying Farmer Convention in Norfolk, Virginia this August.
