The Floresville Jaycees held their second annual Merchants Appreciation Night Banquet at Jaycee Hall on April 28. The event featured a social hour, a ham meal, and remarks by President Albert Chilek thanking Floresville business people for supporting the city. John Burleson introduced Scout Kevin Henke bound for the Boy Scouts National Jamboree at Morane State Park in Philadelphia. A camping display by Troop 114 preceded a reflective close as attendance stood at about 50 of 304.
