A two story classroom and office building on the Texas College of Arts and Industries campus was dedicated as Sam Fore Jr Hall on March 26 in honor of veteran Floresville publisher Sam Fore Jr. The ceremony drew about 300 attendees from Floresville and nearby towns, including Fore and his family, with a color photo unveiling and remarks by Dr. James C. Jernigan and others. Fore, long a publisher of the Robstown Record and Floresville Chronicle Journal, praised the college in his remarks and pledged continued support.
