Budweiser opens new Floresville distribution plant
Groundbreaking ceremony announced Budweiser will install an eight acre Floresville warehouse off Highway 181 behind the 5L Feed Store. Sam Flores heads operations after moving from New Braunfels. Open mid to late May 1995 with six initial employees. Routes will serve Wilson and Atascosa counties and expand to Gonzales as needed. No public sales. bulk product to retailers only.

Wilson County DPS reports three area accidents and a WWII veterans reunion. On March 2 near La Vernia a 1978 Ford pickup slid into a fence after hitting a water pocket. no charges. March 8 involved three vehicles on US 87. Bolen cited for failure to control speed. March 18 a stop sign collision on West Street in Stockdale left one injured. The Country Schools Reunion invites former students spouses teachers and associates from Three Oaks Dewees Tordia Deweesville Johnson Kasper Camp Ranch Danilek Stevens Webbville and Hierholzer to a 1995 April 30 event at the V F W Hall in Poth Texas with a noon covered dish meal and photos requested for memory lane. Floresville Band Booster meeting set for April 4 at 7 00 pm in Teltschik Band Hall for band parent involvement.

The City of Floresville hosted an open house at its new offices at 1120 D Street from 10 a.m. to noon. City officials and Chamber of Commerce staff greeted visitors as residents toured the renovated building that also houses the Chamber. Refreshments were served to the many attendees.
