Senator Lloyd Bentsen announced that Farmers Home Administration approved a $21,900 loan and a $51,400 grant to the Three Oaks Water Supply Corporation. The 40 year loan carries 5 percent interest and funds will serve 25 additional customers, totaling 250 subscribers. Erich Bielefeld of Floresville is president of the corporation.

Sales policy announced for 1978 crop peanuts

Washington March 20 Secretary of Agriculture Bob Bergland announced CCC will sell edible grade 1978 crop farmer stock peanuts for export at not less than 420 dollars per short ton plus costs for quota peanuts and 400 dollars per short ton plus costs for additional peanuts. Quota peanuts are grown within the quota. Domestic crush sales only if the price of the oil peanut is below 420 dollars or 250 dollars per short ton loan rate plus costs.
