The third annual Wilson County school meet opened last night with declamations and debate. A large crowd is expected today as many schools have declared a holiday. Exercises begin at 8:30 sharp with flag raising at the school house.

Floresville hosts a state honors event with track contests at the baseball park starting 1 30 pm admission 25 cents adults 10 cents students free. crowds urged to attend and officials to enforce park rules. Also a free moving picture show tonight at the Opera House with winners announced after.
The Floresville Mothers Club will hold an important meeting at the club rooms next Thursday afternoon April 5. Officers for the ensuing year will be elected and full attendance is urged. Hostesses for the occasion include Mesdames S. D. Seale J. G. Youngblood J. H. Spruce W. J. Schroeder L. B. Wiseman Jeff Woodlee Y. E. Worley and M. H. West.
San Antonio Commandery No 7 Knights Templar held a field day to confer Red Cross and Knights Templar degrees on seven Floresville Masons. The new members were E V Johnson E L Whitsett O E Irvin W L Guyler A D Paulus Dr J W Oxford and Paul Neubauer. The group later attended a dinner at Manhattan Cafe with guests and visitors.
Lee honors Mrs Bruff Miss Willie L King and Miss Matti Johnson in junior results with first place to Ronnie Lux for senior boys over E McDaniel. Judges from San Antonio included Frost Woodhull Eldon Young and others. T. V. Buck, Floresville boy now in Marfa, visited, planning stock business after barber years. Special prices offered.
