Floresville to get new post office building site selected
Postmaster General Lawrence F. O Brien announced plans for a new post office in Floresville Texas 78114 to provide efficient service and better working conditions. The site on Second Street will include 3000 square feet of floor space 216 square foot platform and 14500 square feet of outside area. Bids will be invited with the site option awarded to the winning bidder who will own the land build the facility and lease it to the post office department.

Floresville Brownies and Girl Scouts hosted an art festival on the Court House lawn with judges from the San Antonio area office. Rosalynda Garza, Linda Sue Martinez, and Laurel Jane Halliburton displayed items from Troop 183. Troop 139 members Cathy Seguin, Susan Winyard, and Karen Wake were honored. Three Floresville FFA judging teams took part in the Invitational Judging Contest at S W Texas College on March 16. The poultry team placed 7th among 60 teams. Jerry Lee Polasek scored 365 points in livestock and earned a merit certificate as the second high point man among about 375 competitors. The dairy cattle team of Donaho Cordes Cordes Ventur placed among 77 teams. Coaches Allan J.
