Baptist Revival Huge Attendance at Floresville Church
The First Baptist Church of Floresville hosted a week long revival with large crowds. Sunday morning Sunday School set an all time attendance record while multiple services were held daily at 7:20. Rev Wicks delivered strong gospel messages and six new members joined the church. South San Antonio Baptist Church provided special song services during the revival.

Rain totals swell Wilson County rainfall report
Good rains swept Wilson County Wednesday night with an electrical storm, thunder, and winds. Floresville, Stockdale, and Fairview areas reported between 0.86 and 1.46 inches, lifting the season total to about 6 to 8 inches since December 1. Hail was noted in parts of La Vernia country.

Seniors Trip To Austin Earns High Marks For Class
The Floresville Senior Civics Class visited the Texas Capitol on March 18 1957 with teacher Mrs Hattie Fuller and principal E B Masur along with five mothers. They met Speaker Carr and Representative Holstein in the House and had a Senate resolution by Senator Wienert in their honor. They toured the Governor's Mansion Barton Springs and the Aquarena in San Marcos enjoying a pleasant educational outing.

They cultivate 80 acres of cabbage and about 45 acres of carrots under irrigation, with most shipments going to north Texas cities and a San Antonio firm buying the carrots.
