Chamber Of Commerce Elects 12 Directors For The Ensuing Year
The chamber elected twelve directors by mail ballot from a 250 member roll. 76 votes were cast after poor weather. New officers take over at the April annual meeting and the fiscal year begins then. The meeting urged support for the Countywide Club Boys Livestock Show at Path on March 24 25 and backed a Home Demonstration Agent. Mayor Merchant and President Fore praised the Vigilance Committee and urged avoidance of hot check artists. Plans for the American Legion Memorial Park were discussed with committees named.

Firemen's Instruction School Held in Floresville for Five Weeks
Firemen’s Training School under Offs Muenster from Texas A A College is in progress at Floresville city hall for five weeks. About 27 Floresville Volunteer Fire Department members attend nightly as classes run Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7 to 10. The program includes lectures, charts, and actual demonstrations with the city fire truck. Chief Fritz Nitschmann and City Fire Marshal Wilbert Telachik assist in organizing. Muenster also conducts six weeks of instruction at Kenedy and Karnes City on subsequent nights.
