Mrs. Eva Carver Fuller Dies. Funeral Today in Schertz
Mrs. Eva Carver Fuller, 61, wife of Floresville Chief Deputy Ace Fuller, died suddenly at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at her daughter's home in Schertz Texas after weeks of declining health. Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. today at the family residence with interment in Rock Church Cemetery Fairview. She was previously Miss Eva Carver. her husband and daughter survive.

Path Scouts Win District Camp-O-Bal Field Meet
The first District Camp-O-Bal by Wilson District was held at Floresville’s lighted football field last Friday night. About 150 people attended. Poth won with 55% points, Floresville 36%, in a well run county event led by Field Executive W. AL Nicholson. Jesus Herrera Receives 30 Day Reprieve From Governor
Governor O Daniel granted a 30 day reprieve to Jesus Herrera who was sentenced to death for the strangling of 11 year old Hope Elizondo near Lavernia on May 20 1938. Herrera was convicted on May 30 and his case was upheld by the Court of Criminal Appeals on January 25. This marks the first death penalty case in Wilson County since 1909.
