The Chronicle Journal reports general rainfall across Wilson County Monday and Tuesday with totals around 3/4 to 2 inches countywide. Some areas, including Floreyville and Sunny side, saw hail and crop damage to oats and onions, while other towns recorded lighter precipitation and strong thunderstorms. Floresville Chamber Votes to Revive and Revise Rules
Floresville Chamber of Commerce met at the courthouse with 27 members present and voted unanimously to revive the chamber, adopt a new constitution and bylaws, and elect 12 new directors from 25 nominees. Wilson County raises about 1700 for March of Dimes with seven communities still to respond. Last year’s total was around 4000. now 2500 is owed for polio treatment and equipment from Gonzales Warm Springs Foundation and Robert B. Green Memorial Hospital. Collectors will visit Floresville today or Monday. please give liberally to avert borrowing from the National Foundation.
