Floresville hosts the 10th annual Peanut Festival and Wilson County Club Boys Livestock Show with 150 plus entries at Stockdale School Campus over Friday and Saturday. Showmanship prizes are funded by Floresville, Poth, Stockdale groups and Joske Bros donations totaling 1400 dollars. A Floresville bus ferries attendees from the courthouse square at 1 PM.

Saspamco Well Pump Is Set Up
The Saspamco field well near Sid Katz, W R Quin, and H R Wofford Jr was being set up after a January plug. Swabbed for several days in a faulted Taylor section at 2,791 to 2,797 feet, it had produced some oil. Negative tests followed prior acid treatments of Edwards Lime and the Austin Chalk.

Wilson County farmers are urged by the PMA to plant more castor beans. Up to Tuesday 2,490 acres had been signed by 193 growers.
