Floresville Junior Chamber of Commerce held a banquet in the Bechenburg Agricultural Vocational Workshop on the Floresville school campus for 85 guests. President B M Myers Jr presided as the group sang God Bless America. Rev J W Rives gave the invocation and Mrs William Oxford played violin with Miss Dorothy leading the homemaking students serving a tomato juice cocktail to start.

CCC Needs Five Thousand Boys April Enrollment
Murchison, executive director of the Department of Public Welfare, says about 5,000 boys are needed to reach full CCC camp strength in Texas April enrollment. Enrollees replace those discharged after 18 months or two years, or who leave to seek better conditions or due to pregnancies. Leon Reinhard Died After Automobile Crash Sunday Evening
Leon Reinhard, 9, 11 injuries, died Sunday evening after an automobile accident. Funeral services were held at his home at 9:00 AM Tuesday, with requiem high mass at Blessed Sacrament Church. Trio Arrested For Floresville Tire Thefts
Three suspects in a Floresville tire theft ring were arrested Friday night by Wilson County Sheriff D. J. Robberts and San Antonio Detective E. B. Haddox. They admitted stealing 16 tires in two weeks. several tires were recovered. Tire and wheel thefts had plagued Floresville with cars left on streets. The men are jailed in Wilson County.

Weather, Fort McPherson Fire Tragedy Claims Soldiers
At Fort McPherson Georgia early today a wall collapsed during a fire in an abandoned stable killing two soldiers and injuring 14. Post Adjutant Captain James M. Emigh identified the dead as Tommy Moffett of Homestead Florida and Ottice R. Simpson of Atlanta. Among the injured, Second Lieutenant James E. Cox of Atlanta was seriously hurt. All victims are treated at the post hospital. One injured man, Douglas C. Masters of Floresville Texas, is the son of Ben Masters.
