Floresville athletes shine at the Catan Relays in Pleasanton as about 20 schools competed. William Warren won the Shot Put with a Relays record 48 feet 3 inches and Sam Houston took second in Pole Vault. Both earned medals as Floresville eyes the Wilson County School Meet on March 21–22.

Carl Johnson owner of The Arcadia Theatre, after 23 years in the local motion picture business, closed a deal to purchase The Gem Theatre. Twelve Selected Men To Report March 19
The Wilson County Selective Service Board lists twelve men chosen for induction. They must report at 10:00 A M on March 19 to Floresville Local Board before being sent to an Army induction station at Fort Sam Houston Texas.
