Mother of 3 Girls Faces Charge in Mobile Home Fire
Guadalupe Vasquez 28 faces a charge of abandoning or endangering a child after three daughters died in a Nixon Texas mobile home fire. Investigators said the mother left the children unattended around 9 p.m. Saturday to visit Seguin with her boyfriend and did not return until after the fire. The victims, Erica 9 Beatrice 5 and Danee 3 Vasquez were pronounced dead at the scene. The fire was reported around 12:33 a.m. Sunday. neighbors reported flames from the trailer as responders arrived. Authorities found the bodies inside the bedroom. No arson evidence was found and a faulty heater or wiring was suspected. The case remains pending a bond hearing.

The Floresville Lions Club will host free glaucoma, visual acuity, and blood pressure screenings for adults on Saturday March 7 1998 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at First National Bank 621 10th Street Floresville Texas.
