Floresville Gains 15 Percent Fire Credit Starting March 1 1935

Floresville will receive a 15 percent good fire record credit from the Texas Insurance Department effective March 1 1935, lowering fire insurance premiums for property within the city. The credit reflects a past loss ratio of .158 for 1932 1933 and 1934, and follows a 15 percent bad credit in 1929. Civic leaders credit the city council fire department and volunteers for the improved record and urge continued fire prevention. The Wilson County Home Demonstration Clubs will sponsor a canning demonstration March 4 at 2 p.m. in Floresville, with similar event in Stockdale March 5.

1935 Automobile License Plates Now Allowed After Feb 28

They attended Labatt Home Demonstration Club where Campbell praised the county’s clubs for their organization and active work plan. Stolen Typewriters Recovered in Floresville Theft Case

Sheriff A. Ne Carnes brought two white men from San Antonio to Wilson County jail on Thursday. Jack Mathis and Preston Lamar are jailed for the Floresville High School typewriter theft, which occurred Monday night after three locks were pried. Zip Waldie, Floresville High School senior and son of the city night watchman, spotted a suspicious truck and noted its license, guiding officers to the arrest in San Antonio.
