Seguin hosts the Texas Youth Rodeo Association State Finals July 29 to August 2 1997 at the Guadalupe County Fairgrounds arena. Youth ages 5 to 18 compete in 22 events nightly at 7 00 pm with top contestants advancing from March through July qualifiers. Over 350 contestants vie for 50 trophy saddles and 130 trophy buckles with finals featuring the top ten in each event and state champion title on Saturday.
