4-H Fashion Show set for July 7 at Victoria College
Coast Bend district 4-H Fashion Show features 154 contestants from Wilson County among seven active Youth groups. Senior division winners in each of four categories advance to the State 4-H Fashion Show in San Antonio September 14 through 16. Registration begins 12:30 p.m. with judging at 1:30 and the show at 4:30.

Library chief Inez Jackson celebrated for 31 years of service
Mrs Inez Litchfield Jackson and Rep Jim Crockett honored her with a reception at Sam Fore Jr Wilson Public Library last Friday. Crockett presented an embossed bill from the State Legislature recognizing her 31 years as Wilson County Librarian beginning in 1940. Roy Swift led as master of ceremonies with many librarians and Friends of The Library members present.

Captain Wright Portrait Presented At Honor Reception
A portrait of Captain Wright was presented during a reception honoring Mrs. Inez last Friday in the jail quarters area. The event highlighted early Wilson County history and featured a famed Ranger and Shei who had one man shows in San Antonio. The artist has sold oil paintings to people around the world.

Modern Woodmen Camp 12497 Floresville honored Ted Keen and Marvin Roemer for outstanding community service.
