Floresville honors Miss Texas USA winner June 30 1997
Holly Christine Mills Miss San Antonio, daughter of Marvin and Lauren Mills, won the Miss Texas USA Pageant at South Padre Island on Monday June 30 1997. She hails from Floresville and will graduate from Southwest Texas State University in August 1997. A follow up article will appear in next week's Floresville Chronicle Journal. In crime news, a Floresville stabbing is linked to a Feb 5 gang related incident. Fidel Robles, 17, was treated and released after a confrontation at a U S 181 Texas 97 store parking lot that left him with neck and arm wounds. Two youths were arrested, one charged with aggravated assault in February and Robles faces potential adult certification at a July hearing.
