Falls City Trail Ride And Dance For Hospital Benefit
About 200 riders are expected for the fourth Falls City trail ride and dance on Saturday March 7. The 15 mile ride starts at 9 30 a m from Mule skinners Inn and ends at the Falls City Community Hall. Proceeds benefit Santa Rosa Children s Hospital and include meals and a dance admission. Children pay 10 to ride, 6 and under ride free, non riders 5 donation. Free camping offered at Mule skinners Inn.

Street Value Of Confiscated Drugs Set At $94,600
Narcotic Task Force of the 81st Judicial District raided the residence of Mark Schraub two miles east of Sutherland Springs. They seized methamphetamine making equipment and a 1985 Pontiac with two firearms. The raid included officials from Floresville, Atascosa, and Wilson counties and DA Alger Kendall. Schraub was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance and remanded to Wilson County jail with a $100,000 bond.

Floresville Wal-Mart Store No 465 will host a two hour live radio remote by KKYX in March to raise funds for Santa Rosa Children's Hospital. Bill Cody will be at the mike for the 4 to 6 p.m. broadcast on Wednesday March 11 as part of KKYX March Across South Texas campaign to support hospital readiness for severe pediatric cases in the region. Wilson County residents rely on hospital services. 1990 data show 58 seriously ill or injured children admitted for 350 patient days, with 189 regular ambulatory care visits.
