Baked Food Show Opens With County Youth Competition
About 150 entries compete in the Baked Food Show linked to the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show. Entries rose by 15 from 1984 with judging at 10:00 a.m. Friday January 25 and public viewing until 6:00 p.m. Auction follows hog judging. Awards include rosettes trophies and cash prizes.

The 1985 Wilson County Junior Livestock Show runs January 24 25 and 26 at the Showbarn with 415 animals entered including 4 steers 129 market hogs 9 lambs 47 broilers 41 beef breeding animals 36 breeding gifts 8 bulls and 12 dairy animals. Shows begin with broilers and lambs on the 24th then dairy beef breeding heifers and bulls breeding swine and market swine on the 25th and market steers on the 26th with a 7:00 p.m. auction sale on Saturday. Sponsoring chambers Floresville Path Stockdale and Wilson County Farm Bureau along with VFWPost No 8555. 4 H FFA FHA youth encouraged to attend and a breeding rabbit demonstration is set for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday the 26th.
