Peanut Festival Award Show Set for January 19 22
The Peanut Festival Association in Wilson County announces an award show running Wednesday through Saturday January 19 to 22. Last week’s Appreciation Dinner at the Wilson County Show Barn recognized County and City Officials and honored Bruce Schroller for his years of service to the association. A steak dinner was served by Cow Camp and members of the Royal Court distributed door prizes.

Red Cross Open House Highlights Wilson County Outreach
The American Red Cross Floresville Branch held an open house at Wilson County Courthouse with branches in Karnes and McMullen Counties. Volunteers aided eleven families after house fires and opened two shelters, while planning health and safety trainings, infant child and adult classes, CPR, First Aid, AED, babysitter training, sports safety, and disaster education. The San Antonio Chapter supports Wilson and Atascosa counties in preparedness efforts.
