He led facility upgrades and $1 million in equipment renovations with no long term debt and a 4 percent property tax increase over six years. Two separate crash entries describe incidents in Wilson County Texas. On January 7 1996 Bobby Ray Schneider Jr of Seguin drove a 1988 Freight TT with a 1980 trailer 3.1 miles south of Nixon on Highway 80 rolling onto its side with cattle inside and scattered in pastures. Officer E C Haltom investigated. On January 8 1996 Zeana Nicole Springs of Nixon driving a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro veered off FM 1107 east of Stockdale hitting a tree. she was transported to Guadalupe Valley Hospital. Officer Roy Tower investigated. New Wilson County Jail Opens in April 1996
The Wilson County Criminal Justice Facility on Highway 181 in Floresville will open in April with 161 beds. Sixty one beds for local prisoners and one hundred for U S Marshall prisoners. About twenty guards on 12 hour shifts will be hired. Officials include Emilio V. Flores and Bobbie Joe Pope JPs Precincts 1 and 4. Agencies housed include DPS, Floresville PD, Wilson County Sheriff's Office, TABC, Game Warden, and Texas Rangers.
