Gustavus Choir to Sing in Floresville Concert
The Gustavus Choir of St. Peter Minnesota in its 37th season will perform at Floresville High School Wiley Seale Auditorium on Wednesday January 31 at 7 30 p m Open to the public The 66 member group has toured 40 states Canada and Europe and was chosen as one of five choirs to perform at the Lutheran World Federation assembly in recent years The director Professor Philip Knautz and Minnesota ties are highlighted by the group’s long history and diverse origins with members from many states including Minnesota Colorado Nebraska Connecticut Illinois and others.

Floresville 1967 All-District 27AA honors are noted along with prior framing of the Wilson County 4 H and FFA Livestock Show to be held January 26-27 at the Rodeo Grounds in Stockdale, featuring 83 swine, 25 steers, 18 beef breeding animals, 20 lambs, dairy heifers, 16 broilers, and a junior livestock auction.

Mrs Pauline Orts boards a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter during a Floresville demonstration on Monday January 15.
