Kosciusko led the Wilson County Boys Volleyball tournament held Friday January 10 with three first place finishes across ward junior and senior high divisions. Kosciusko defeated Lodi two games to none 15-6 15-2 before beating Poth 17-15 13-15 15-5 earning a loving cup for each first place. Floresville beat La Vernia in the ward schools division game.

Youth Arrested On Path Robbery Charges
A 14 year old youth who claimed to be George Flores from San Antonio was arrested near the highway after robberies at Magnolia Service Station and George Kunkel's Station in Poth. Death Claims Infant Of Mr And Mrs Ullmann
The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Ullmann died at their home on Monday January 13 at 1 80 PM. Born a week earlier, the child was not strong at birth. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning and burial occurred at Sacred Heart Cemetery with Rev Fred Drees officiating. Several relatives attended.

Convictions Follow Quick Action In Robbery Cases
District Judge S. B. Carr presided at a special term to try indictments in recent robberies. Antonio Castillo pleaded guilty to four burglary counts, receiving sentences of seven, five, seven, and six years for robberies at Lillian Chamberlain, O F Burney, Carl Johnson, and another Johnson residence, with some terms concurrent or cumulative.
