Multiple Traffic Incidents Reported Around La Vernia Area
A series of DPS reports describe collisions and near misses near La Vernia and surrounding towns from December 1996 to January 1997. Incidents include a 1994 Mazda pickup rollover on Oak Hollow Drive with no injuries, two-vehicle crashes on FM 541 and FM 775, a deer collision on FM 775, and a 1986 Buick deer strike on FM 775. Police filed one report for fail to report accident. others resulted in tow or medical dispatches with no charges.

Floresville Resident Killed In Auto Wreck
Floresville resident Mary Sikkema died in a one car rollover on South Presa Street in South Bexar County early Sunday January 12 about 6 15 am. She was on her way to work in San Antonio when road conditions were icy and wet. Mrs Sikkema was married to Jerry Sikkema. Funeral services are under Winyard Funeral Home Flo resville. An obituary will appear next week.
