City buys 500 feet of new fire hose for Range
Mayor Slavik showed a News man an invoice last Saturday covering a shipment of 500 feet of brand new fire hose the City of Range has just purchased for the fire boys. The old hose was beginning to leak and will be replaced with new. G. C. Neeley and wife of Hebbronville have been visiting relatives and friends in this section for several days past. Mr. Neeley resided in this county for many years and has many friends throughout this section.

Resignation of Wilson County Tax Collector O E Irvin
Otho E F Irvin resigned as tax collector of Wilson County effective February 1920. A E Oates of Fairview was appointed successor and will assume duties soon. Irvin served since 1910 and will be remembered for his long tenure and public service. Oates is a former Battery C sergeant with a distinguished record and has strong local support.
