First Homicide of 1999 in San Antonio
San Antonio recorded its first homicide of the year when 19 year old Floresville man Rudolpho S. Garza Jr died after an early morning shooting at 2 00 a.m. near Houston and Soledad Streets. Garza was hit twice and died at 3 50 at Brooke Army Medical Center. Police have not developed any suspects. Garza was a lifelong Floresville resident.

Four Suspects Convicted In Wilson County Burglary Case
Deputy Mike Alderman investigated a May 21 1998 burglary on Wolf Lane La Vernia where footprints and tire tracks linked a house guest to the suspects vehicle. Calvin Pundt John Gutierrez SAPD ROPE and other agencies recovered 82 to 91 pieces of stolen property. All four suspects pled guilty with sentences ranging from probation to 25 years.
