Floresville forms American Legion post with strong ex service turnout
Last Monday in Floresville a group of Wilson county ex service men formed an American Legion post to preserve memories of wartime service. Officers named include Hal V Warren and Wayne Herrington. membership aims at about 400 ex service men with a 100 percent goal. A clubroom for war veterans is planned in Floresville with headquarters soon at McCracken Murray Carr offices.

Motion for New Trial in Lowe Murder Case Denied
District Judge C. C. Thomas denied a motion for a new trial in the Lowe murder case after a full day of argument. Attorneys announced an appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeals. Lowe, indicted for killing Will G. and Tullos on Jour danton streets last month, had earlier received a life sentence for Calvin Tullos’s murder in this district court.
