Wilson County Receives Emergency Food and Shelter Funds
Wilson County has been awarded 7939 dollars under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program to support area programs. A Local Board will allocate these funds among local service organizations and may recommend agencies to receive the awards. Previously, funds were distributed through Community Council of South Central Texas. Deadline to apply is January 5, 2000, by mailing to CCSCT Community Services, 1022 C Street Floresville TX 78114.

Wilson County Santa Program Receives Donations
The Wilson County Sheriff's Santa Program benefited from Wal-Mart Floresville and nationwide promotions with Walsh Walton. Donations included a $600 check presented by Gwen Fluitt and $251 from Smith Propane Gas Company plus $250 from Beta Alpha Phi sorority. Sheriff Joe D Tackitt received the funds on December 23.
