Wilson Memorial Hospital moves the Emergency Room to a larger space in the hospital on December 27 with Treatment Room 1 and relocates the Family Medical Care Clinic on December 29 to a shared area offering Treatment Rooms 2 and 3, a new reception area, and separate waiting room. Reduced after-hours rates stay in effect for minor problems.

A pre construction safety meeting coordinated by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation outlined safety and planning with the bidder police agencies utilities and state officials. The project covers 0.188 miles of bridge and approaches under Resident Engineer A G Clement.
