Christmas Program Delights Large Christmas Eve Crowd

True spirit of the season shown as a large audience enjoys a Christmas Eve program with cooperation, Santa Claus, lights for youngsters, and a band with carol singing.

Hany Desire To Make It Annual Christmas Event

The oc SELIAS driveway park hosted an annual Christmas event led by Old Santa Claus with one thousand participants. A large committee lined two sides as each child passed to receive a gift sack from John Klasek’s truck. Gift sacks were given to all ages and nationalities, infants included, with hundreds from rural communities and nearby towns attending the courthouse square scene.

Christmas Cantata At Floresville Methodist Church

A large Floresville Methodist Church crowd enjoyed a cantata titled The Song and The Star performed by a 35 voice mixed choir with guests from other churches. Mrs John W Spruce led the program assisted by pianist Mrs E F Woolsey Jr. The hour long event featured solos duets and quartets and drew out of town attendees.

Truck Farmers 10 call a meeting at the county agent's office at 10 A M Saturday December 29 to discuss marketing of truck crops. An eastern buyer is expected and attention is drawn to increased county acreage.

Immense Crowd Attends Christmas Program at St John’s

A large audience filled St John’s Lutheran Church Path on Christmas night for a beautiful program led by Sunday School teachers. More than 65 children participated, and the church was richly decorated for the occasion, reflecting a festive community event.

Christmas Orchestra Event Lights Cafe With Cheerful Tales

The Junior Orchestra entertained at the cafe in town with a bright Christmas display and a large tree. Seven members attended and a young musician led the final number with Miss Lorine Teltschik at piano. Old Santa Claus praised the group, distributed gifts, and presented Director Teltschik a handsome music stand.

Deplorable Accident Marred Floresville Christmas Day

Nine year old De Witt Albert Murray lost his left eye when an air gun, given as a Santa gift to Judge Murray’s son, discharged during Christmas play in Floresville. Clark Murray and other children were involved. the boy was taken to Santa Rosa Infirmary in San Antonio where doctors advised eye removal.
