Sheehys Celebrate Golden Wedding at Home and Church
Mr and Mrs Joseph T Sheehy marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a Dec 22 1959 ceremony at Sacred Heart Church witnessed by Msgr John J Gerbermann and a High Mass. An open house followed with about 150 guests at their son James Sheehy’s Floresville home, featuring gold and yellow floral decor, a four tiered wedding cake, and a reception buffet. The couple, longtime Wilson County residents, were married in 1909 in San Antonio.

The Poth High School Band presented a Christmas concert Monday evening to a large appreciative audience. They performed three pieces from the Christmas Suite by Walters and Berlin's White Christmas, followed by the Christmas Story in pantomime with junior and senior girls acting the Nativity.
