Be County ASC to hold initial farm program meeting
Be County ASC and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service will hold an initial meeting in Floresville on December 68 through January 5 to discuss applications for cost sharing in 1964. The meeting will cover program purposes, costs, specifications, and ACP practices like terrace construction, erosion control, reservoir management, vegetation for soil protection, and perennial grasses. An additional Agricultural Workstation meeting is planned in Waco in 1969.

Falls City Man Vincent Kopecki Dies at 89
Vincent Kopecki died Thursday at Floresville Hospital from heart illness after years of illness. A Falls City resident, he was born July 12, 1879 in Germany and married twice, father of nine. Funeral and religious rites were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Falls City with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

On Thursday night December 24 Floresville holds a Christmas Eve program at Courthouse Square with Old Santa arriving on a fire truck to distribute fruit bags to every child. The event includes carol singing by church groups and a large Nativity scene, led by Director Fritz Teltschik and the Floresville School Band. Local Chamber of Commerce members urge all families to attend this community celebration.

Carol Singing In Floresville Delightful Christmas Event
The Methodist MYF and others led a carol singing night in Floresville on Monday, with about 40 participants. After a supper in the church recreation room the group visited roughly 18 homes to sing for shut ins and the sick, a yearly feature of the choir. The event occurred in cold clear weather, with hay covered song trailers pulled by a jeep and truck.
