Mark M. Connally, 24, son of former Texas governor John B. Connally, has been appointed vice president of the First City National Bank of Floresville. The Floresville native was previously manager of Connally Ranches and is a 1970 Lamar HS graduate with a UT finance degree earned in 1974. He is active in Santa Gertrudis groups and serves as a director of Premier Santa Gertrudis Association. he and his wife Anne Peddie reside in Floresville.

The group enjoyed a Christmas dinner at the Middle School Cafeteria served by the Middle School H E group led by Mrs Andy Hunter. Wilbert Teltschik presented engraved mugs to present members for Teltschik's 60th anniversary, noting the family business started December 16th sixty years ago and remains family operated. The Lions will meet again on January 6th in the New Year.
